世上自從有了男與女，就有了糾纏，而每個人又各被“權利”，“金錢”，“愛情”，“欲望”所主宰。在肢體上領帶束縛了男人，高跟鞋束縛了女人，而人性上的枷鎖不論是男或女，今生或來世，何時方能大徹大悟去掙脫？這故事不僅發生在我這四位朋友：趙，錢，孫，李的身上，它可以發生在世界的任何一個角落。
From the moment there were men and women on earth, there were entanglements. Men and women are physically bound by neck ties and high heels. Alas, what about other forms of human bondages? Power! Money! Passion! Lust! Can we ever extricate ourselves from all that? This is a story that could happen anywhere and at anytime.

之所以繼去年為灣區“華藝劇社”導演了楊絳的《稱心如意》與賴聲川的《暗戀桃花源》的名著後，今年懷著極大的創作熱情，為“華藝劇社”選擇沈悅女士的荒誕喜劇《領帶vs.高跟鞋》，在於她的劇本有著“天馬行空的超常想象“，“屢出奇兵的黑色幽默”，“充滿現代感的創新形式”以及“引起男女間共鳴的奇人奇事”。堅信，通過我們與“華藝劇社”優秀演員們“默契的合力”，六月中旬的San Jose Repertory Theater 劇場裏，將發出“陣陣朗朗的歡笑聲”與“情不自禁的掌聲”。走出劇場後，將引起你們對人生會心的“深思與感悟”。
